Developing VICA™ brings scientific research together with the materials engineering and manufacturing needed to build the platform. The Pavonis team combines that experience with technology commercialization and operations expertise to support its use in research.
Founders and team
A surgeon-scientist with a focus on bioengineering, Todd completed medical and surgical training in Toronto, Edmonton and Sydney. His research record includes more than 95 manuscripts, multiple patents and over 4,000 citations. Drawing on that clinical and research experience, he guides Pavonis’s work to make biomolecular interaction measurements more accessible to discovery teams.
Robert is the inventor of ACTICOAT™ antimicrobial silver technology and holds more than 300 patents worldwide. At Pavonis, his expertise in metallic thin-film manufacturing, anodization and medical device development supports the engineering and manufacturing of the platform.
With more than 20 years in technology business leadership, Aaryn has a software commercialization track record exceeding $100 million. His experience also includes serving as an investor and board member in technology startups. With MBAs from Queen’s University and Cornell University, he brings commercial and business expertise to the founding team.
Matthew specializes in materials science for medicine and the life sciences, bringing experience in laboratory research and the development of materials for market applications to Pavonis.
Yu brings expertise in chemistry and polymer science to Pavonis.
With more than seven years in the life sciences, Zoe draws on project and operations management experience in her role at Pavonis. She manages the company’s commercialization and operations work.
